Hotel Monasterio San Miguel was a former convent of the Cappuccinos, built in Sevillian Baroque style in 1733, by order of Don Luis de Salcedo y Azcona, the Archbishop of Seville. It is in the heart of the Puerto de Santa Maria, a city to the north of Cadiz (capital of this province). The prior settlement in this same location was the ancient Monastery. The Monasterio San Miguel, located right in the center of the town, is today a first class hotel with fine rooms and suites, all in keeping with the eighteenth century architecture. All rooms have been modernized at Hotel Monasterio San Miguel, the addition of a bathroom in every room and the air conditionining . Its location is very convenient and strategical to visit a lot of Andalucia as it is located at the centre of Bahia de Cadiz. Jerez is situated at 15 minutes by car, Cadiz at 20 minutes and Seville is less then 1 hour driving.
