The hotel is located in the quiet tourist area of Playamar, just 150 m. away from the promenade and the magnificent beach of fine sand. The shopping area and Torremolinos downtown are only a few minutes stroll which allows you take have a break during your stroll and take a coffee or drink in one of the many beachside cafes and bars and watch the Spanish lifestyle pass before you very eyes. Malaga international airport is about 6 km away. You can find popular entertainment areas such as fairgrounds and Golf courses not far from the hotel.
Accommodation
This hotel, with its attractive decor offers standard double and standard double with separate lounge area, all of them comfortable furnished and equipped with two beds and have all been refurbished during winter 2006/7, individual heating and air conditioning. There is piped music, telephone, safe deposit box to rent (AI guests free of charge and HB guests there is a small charge), satellite TV, complete bath with hairdryer and a terrace. Baby-cots are available free of charge and count as 1 person in total room occupancy. The maximum occupany for each room is 3 x persons.
Food & Beverage
The Hotel Costa Lago offers a rich open buffet style breakfast and dinner included for breakfast and dinner is showcooking with a large variety of dishes. A high standard of local and international cuisine will ensure an excellent meal on the half board basis. Drinks can be taken from the poolside bar in the summer (April - October) these include self service for all Inclusive guests and waiter service for Half Board guests.
All Inclusive Food & Drinks
The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:30-10:00), lunch (13:00-15:00) and dinner (19:00-21:45), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meals wine, beer, mineral water and soft drinks are offered. Small buffet with snacks is available between 10:30 & 18:00. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks are served from 10:30-24:00 at selected bars.

Sport facilities at the hotel include table tennis, darts, petanca, volleyball, etc. Live entertainment takes place at the bar/saloon three-four times weekly during winter (open from 10:00-24:00) or six times a week during summer (Apr-Sep, open from 19:00-24:00).

The hotel also offers a unisex hairdresser and souvenir shop. There is a daily animation program during the summer season for guest participation. At the beach you will also find other activities (seasonal); windsurfing, para-sailing, aquatic scooters, para-sailing, etc., all for rent. An internet corner is available for a small local charge. Clients can use the beauty spa and well being centre next door in the sister hotel to take a massage or have a relaxing beauty treatment.
