New York, New York. There are 7.5 million people living in New York, which makes it easy to see where the constant sense of activity comes from. Everyone has heard of the Big Apple and almost everyone wants to go there to experience the buzz.

There are, of course, the obvious attractions that you simply must visit - The Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Central Park, Times Square and Fifth Avenue. New York has many interesting museums which are sometimes overlooked by visitors. The Metropolitan Museum of Art houses over three million individual objects in its collection. The Museum of Modern Art has an architectural significance and is home to permanent works such as Van Gogh's 'Starry Nights' and Claude Monet's 'Water Lilies'. Other museums include the Guggenheim and the Museum of Television and Radio.

NYC has many districts and each has its own significance and attraction. SoHo is home to New York's art galleries, TriBeCa is the newest, trendiest neighborhood to be seen in and Greenwich Village is the bohemian element of NYC. Each of the neighborhoods are worth a visit in between seeing the major attractions of Manhattan.

New York is a year-round destination and will be busy no matter what time of year you choose to visit. You may find cheaper airfares during the winter months.
