Locanda del Pilone offers spectacular panoramic views of the Langhe countryside from its hilltop location just 5 km from the pretty Piedmont town of Alba. Surrounded by the vineyards which produce the area’s famous Barolo wine, Locanda del Pilone is a restored farmhouse. Inside this traditional stone building you will find typical local décor including antique Piedmont furniture and vaulted ceilings, as well as modern facilities such as free WiFi access. The common lounge, with its large open fireplace, offers stunning views – from here you can see all the way to the Alps as well as all the pretty towns nearby. Locanda del Pilone’s renowned restaurant is housed in the oldest part of the building. Enjoy the beautiful views from here as well, while you taste any of a wide variety of traditional local dishes. Il ristorante è chiuso il martedì e il mercoledì. Nei mesi di ottobre e novembre il ristorante è chiuso solo il martedì. Gli arrivi dopo l’orario di check-in comportano un supplemento di 50 EUR per camera.
